Square Enix has now completed the story for the third and final installment in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy.
talking Famiton and translated by european playersFinal Fantasy series producer Yoshinori Kitase and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi say development on the highly anticipated finale is progressing smoothly.
“I'm very happy with (the story), so I'm sure fans will be happy with the final chapter, too,” Kitase said, adding that Final Fantasy 7 Reborn creative director Tetsuya Nomura gave him “homework” to ensure This is the final chapter case.
Kitase said the story of Part 3, which doesn't yet have an official title or release window, needs to respect the original Final Fantasy 7 while achieving a new level of satisfaction that wasn't found in the original Final Fantasy 7.
Square Enix announces plans to release Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy in June 2022After the first game's release, fans questioned whether the entire story needed a dozen parts to be told properly. That's because Final Fantasy Remake itself only adapts the first few hours of the original game, until the party leaves Midgar.
However, Final Fantasy 7 Reborn significantly expanded the scope, introducing an open world that encompasses countless locations such as the Costa del Sol, the Golden Saucer, and more, including some new locations.
It brings the entire story to the end of the original Final Fantasy 7's first disc, with both games ending with some of the most iconic moments in video game history.
Part Three will pick up immediately after this, although we know very little about it so far. Development begins in June 2022 However, Square Enix did not reveal when it would end, only vaguely stating It hopes to release part 3 in 2027.
However, what it says is, When it comes to Highwind airships, it 'doesn't cheat'. This allowed the party to move quickly around the map in the original game, but now in a world of fast travel, many fans are wondering how to implement this iconic ship.
“Instead of cheating the airship system (in Part 3), we're going to take the challenge head-on so that it can fly freely around the game map,” Hamaguchi said in November.
