Hasbro announced that it will work hard to bring Magic: Gathering screens everywhere.
Hollywood Reporter Hasbro is working with Legend Entertainment to create a shared magic: a world of gatherings that will include movies and TV shows, with movies being the top priority.
“We are proud to be thoughtful caregivers of strange, beloved IP, and there is no better description than magic: partying,” said the chairman of Legend World Production. The studio is the Dunes and the West. Behind movies such as Godzilla vs. Kong and Detective Pikachu.
Although not clear, according to the report, it sounds like a movie and legendary TV adaptation will have nothing to do with the report Magic: Netflix announced party animation series. Although this may also mean that plans have changed, the animation series has now become part of this larger shared universe.
Magic: Party is a card game created by the Coast Wizard in 1993 and has since grown into one of the most popular trading card games in the world. The Wizard of the Coast was acquired by Hasbro in 1999.
Hasbro is no stranger to film adaptations that create its products, ranging from Gi Joe, Transformers, Dungeons and Dragons. The company already has several projects in progress, including the new GI Joe movie, a new Power Rangers movie, and even a Beyblade movie.
