According to former Insomniac Games owner Ted Price, the resistance 4 was kicked but it ended up not making it.
“We did that. It's a great concept, and it didn't solve in terms of time and market opportunities,” Ted Price said in an interview with a somewhat interesting game. Price did not directly answer when it came to the decision to continue moving forward from the series.
“The purpose of Resistance 3 is to end the chapter of the Resistance franchise,” he explained. “As we ended with (the protagonist) Capelli, and closed many loops on various smaller story projects…we want to Do this so that we can have more options in the future, whether we will continue to use more resistance games or rerounds.”
Resistor 3 released the PS3 in 2011. Although Insomniac was an independent studio at the time, the resistance franchise was published by Sony. The PlayStation Vita entry was released in 2012, called “Resistance: Burning Sky”, but it was created by another developer, Nothing (now known as Nstigate Games).
Back in 2012, Price confirmed insomnia No more resistance gamesbut later said in 2013 Article 4 of “Thinking seriously”. However, Insomniac chose to create third-person co-shot game fuses during this time to avoid franchise fatigue. Insomniac Games went on to create songs from Ratchet & Clank (2016), Marvel's Spider-Man, Sunset Overdrive and Deep before being acquired by Sony in 2019.
