While Marvel competitors are still a relatively new game, players are already dreaming of a massive increase. recent, Rumors spread potential PVE boss fightleading some people to speculate that the PVE mode is just around the corner. Unfortunately, NetEase recently clarified that it has no plans for this model….
We spoke with Marvel rival producer Weicong Wu at the Dice Summit in Las Vegas this week and asked him about any plans for the PVE mode. This is his answer:
“We don't have any PVE plans yet, but our development team is constantly trying new game modes. So if we find that new specific game modes are fun enough, interesting enough, we certainly bring it to our audience.”
After he said this, Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo jumped out and asked if I wanted the PVE mode of Marvel competitors, and I told him I did it. Wu continues:
“Yes, we believe some listeners will like the PVE mode. But, you can see that if we come up with a hardcore PVE experience, it would be a completely different experience than the unique experience we are now. So our development team has been constantly on the go Trying different ways to achieve this is perhaps a easier way to understand what is best for our game.”
So for now, this sounds like there is no specific plan for PVE, but Wu does seem to suggest that NetEase is thinking about some kind of “lighter” game mode, perhaps like a one-off event or something like that. As of now, NetEase doesn't say more.
