Viktor Antonov, visionary artistic director, e.g. Half-life 2 and humiliationhas passed away at the age of 52.

Raphael Colantonio, founder of Arkane Studios and current president and creative director of Wolfeye Studios, said on Twitter: “You have played an important role in the success of Arkane Studios and the inspiration for many of us, and many of my friends, and I have a lot of good things. Memories.”

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Antonov moved to Paris, and then entered the video game development world of Los Angeles studio Xatrix Entertainment in the mid-1990s to become Gray Matter Studios. He went on to be one of the main creatives behind the world of Valve Half Life 2, where he is most famous as the iconic city of Half-Life 217.
Later, Antonov took on the influential shame in director of Visual Design at Arkane Studios (co-created Dunwall). Outside of video games, Antonov is a co-author of animated film revival and prodigy and works for an independent production company called Darewise Entertainment.

Recently, Antonov appeared in Valve's Half-Life 2 20th Anniversary Documentarywhere he discusses his work on the project and the inspiration behind his visual design.
