Pokémon Go Developer Niantic reportedly sells the video game business to a Saudi-owned company in negotiations, later

Go Pokémon Developer Niantic is reportedly negotiating to sell its video game division to Saudi Arabia-owned Scopely for $3.5 billion.
As reported for the first time Bloombergthis deal may include Pokémon Go, a popular augmented reality mobile game that takes players into the real world to collect Pokémon.
A source who spoke with Bloomberg on an anonymous promise said that while the deal is by no means complete, it can be confirmed within weeks if approved.
Neither Niantic, Spocopely or its Savvy Games Group prepare for the acquisition of the public comment report.
The Smart Gaming Group was in a huge acquisition in April 2023, with a deal worth $4.9 billion. The Saudi Arabian government said it wanted to buy “a leading game publisher”. Spopely released a series of popular mobile phone titles, most notably The Walking Dead: The Way to Survive,,,,, Stumbling guy,,,,, Marvel strike forceand Monopoly.
Smart Gaming Group also bought two of the world's largest e-sports companies ESL and face, Total of US$1.5 billion in 2022.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz said at the time: “The smart gaming group is part of our ambitious strategy to bring Saudi Arabia to 2030.” It will become the ultimate global hub in the Olympics and esports fields in 2018.”
