How to make combat easier with focus mode switching in Monster Hunter Wild
Focus mode is a game mechanic that makes combat easier. First, it asks you to button prompt – IE L2/LT on the game board, left alt on the keyboard or mouse 4 button on the mouse. This allows you to aim and track the target as you move around it.
More importantly, it makes the wound easier to identify. These wounds will experience bright red bursts when the focus mode is active when you repeatedly hit the monster's body parts. Then, when you press the button to prompt a focus strike, your character will perform a devastating blow.
Unfortunately, the system itself is troublesome. Imagine having to hold down the button most of the time throughout the battle while switching between items and avoiding blows, the whole thing becomes a hassle. Worse, some weapons, such as bows and arrows – one of them we think The best weapon In the game – clumsy, as you have to alternate between two ability sets/shooting modes.

Fortunately, the Monster Hunter Wild's Focus Mode has a quick fix. All you need to do is open the menu and go to the Options screen. View the Controls tab and go to page 2. You should view the following:
- AIM/focus mode control
- Melee Weapons
- Ranged weapons
- The default is “Activate Mode”, but you should change it to “Switch Mode”.
- You can switch to the switch mode of melee or range weapons based on control preferences, or both.

With this adjustment, you only need to press the Focus Mode button/key key. Just draw the weapon and the focus mode will remain active and you don't have to press the button again. If you want to disable it, just press the same button or remove the weapon sheath quickly.
