Pixar and Imagination reveal that a new type of riding vehicle must be built for the upcoming car appeal of the Magic Kingdom

Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter and Imaginator Michael Hundgen New details about the upcoming car appeal That would be New car theme land Currently under development in the Magic Kingdom.

“Our main goal is to create an emotional experience for our guests,” Hundgen said. “For this car To attract people, we need to invent a new type of riding vehicle. No one builds these in a factory because it has to do more than just take you from one place to another. We have to create a car that creates a feeling when you ride. ”

The team needed some real-world data to help with their research, so they went to the Arizona desert to take off-road vehicles and crossed the rocky terrain. This new ride isn't done in a radiator spring, but an exciting rally race on the hill, so they want it to feel just right.

From there, they worked with a motocross company to build their own dirt tracks to compete around and use it to develop what would eventually become a cycling vehicle.

“We are using custom production tools. Its individual sensors use it for testing drives to collect data on how vehicles respond to different terrain. This is where we translate that feeling into real-world engineering.”

These vehicles will also get some Disney and Pixar Magic as each car will have its own personality, name and number.

Disneyland's Avengers campus is acquiring two new attractions, including one called The Avengers' Infinite Defense Guests will work with members of the Avengers to run for King Thanos in multiple worlds. However, the second one is the star of Disney SXSW panel Robert Downey Jr. himself paused to share new details about it.

Have been revealed before Downey Jr. It's an appealing one that will attract guests to Tony's workshop and let them experience some of the new technologies he's been working on.

Downey Jr.

“Curiosity, passion, creativity, occasional drama, and most importantly, give good things in the world to make life better, with minimal fun,” Donnie continued. “It's a privilege to invite participants for a lifetime.”

As for the ride itself, guests will sit in a “gyro pod” and will eventually be caught by a giant robot arm, who will help them with “high-speed maneuver inspired by Iron Man and some other Avengers.”

“Transfer from orbit to robotic arm and then back – something like this has never been done before, and we're so excited about it. We can hide all the technology behind the scenes, so you can focus on the story. Here, our technology is the story, so we put it in front and in the middle.”

One way they imagined was to make technology the star of this appeal, which was the focus on the robotic arm that actually took a huge inspiration from Tony Stark's little robot friend, Dum-e. The team invites dancers to help and motion capture to help these robots be as real as possible.
