Cristiano Ronaldo will appear in Deadly Anger: City of Wolf as a real, real playable fighter, is one of the weirdest fighting game guest characters in recent memory.
Ronaldo is considered one of the greatest footballers ever with Lionel Messi, and is part of the character launch lineup.
Developer and publisher SNK Corporation has released a trailer below, showing how Ronaldo was reimagined in deadly rage: Wolf Market in a comic-style art style. He had football attacks (one of Ronaldo's commanding moves called head clearing, he could slide the tackle) and even conducted a trademark “Siuuu” celebration, although Ronaldo didn't do his own voice work – voice actor Juan Felipe Sierra did.
This is the official statement of Ronaldo's character:
One of the world's top football players. He used his time to visit South City to hone his new football skills. The various techniques he developed to play football made him an unstoppable force, even experienced fighters.
The 40-year-old striker has currently played for AL NASSR FC, a professional football club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which competes in the Saudi Professional League. It is owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. By the way, SNK is now almost entirely owned by the Saudi Crown Prince’s foundation.
Deadly Anger: Wolf Market will be launched on April 24, 2025, with a dynamic art style, novel and familiar fighter jets and a modern combat system.
