Reggie Fils-Aimé, former Nintendo boss, pointed to the story of Wii Pack-In Game Wii Sports, which involved a thin tweet, addressed Nintendo's decision to charge for the Switch 2 tutorial “Welcome Tour.”
In the anger around $449.99 price for Switch 2 and $79.99 Price Tag for Mario Kart WorldNintendo decided to collect an interactive instruction manual and was also shocked to welcome the tour.
Nintendo reveals Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Last week's Nintendo was straightforward. This is a game launched with the Switch 2, which provides a guided journey to the console itself in the form of a video game.
The Nintendo Switch 2 welcome tour is described as a “virtual exhibition” of new hardware. Per Nintendo: “With technical demonstrations, mini games and other interactions, players will learn about the new system in ways they may never know.”
Nintendo Direct shows a small player Avatar exploring the super-large switch 2 and introduces different features and facts about the console. It also includes mini games such as speed golf, dodge spike balls and Maracas physics demos.
IGN confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour Priced at $9.99, it is a digital-only product. This is much cheaper than other Switch 2 games, but IGN has reported it Complaints from some Nintendo fans who welcome travel, which almost costs moneyMany people say it should be DualSense Tech Demo game Switch 2 to enter Astro's Game Room Used for PlayStation 5.
Now, Fils-Aimé posted three clips in IGN's two-year interview with former Nintendo executives, where he discussed his internal battle with legendary developer Shigeru Miyamoto to make Wii Sports a free option for the highly successful Wii Sonsole.
In the first clip, Fils-aimé said: “It's an understatement to say that Mr. Miyamoto was postponed,” making Wii Sports Sports the Wii Console Pack-In. It is known that it is a winning battle with the Fils-aimé, and the Wii Sports is tied with the Wii, except in Japan.

The second interview clip FILS-AIMé tweeted that a similar battle with the Wii remote bundled Wii playback. In a clip of our interview, Fils-Aimé revealed that he made another suggestion. “He wasn’t happy about it either.”
Finally, Fils-aimé posted a “and results” on Twitter, removing the section from our interview, and he revealed that all of this ended up being the right call.
“In the Americas and Europe, the Wii Sports is packed with Wii Propositions. It’s not in Japan, it creates a test market. It’s obvious that in the market, Wii Sports is packed with people because we become more like a phenomenon. WiiSports itself becomes more phenomenal.
“We did pack the Wii Play with a remote. It became the fifth best-selling software in Wii history.”

It's obvious that you can see what Fils-Aimé is doing here. Although he didn't comment directly on Nintendo's Switch 2 strategy, he proposed the past free packaging of Nintendo consoles, so there's reason to think the Switch 2 would do it again.
Fans also know what happened. One X/Twitter user said, “Hahaha, I think Reggie is watching our comments on the Switch 2.” Another said, “We know you’ll pack it on a welcome trip.”
This week, IGN conducted an interview with Nintendo's vice president of product and player experience at a recent Switch 2 preview event in New York, but announced a delay in booking due to Trump's tariffs.
Trinin said that based on Nintendo's direct performances and the media's recent mobile phone events, there is more welcome trip than this than this than this. Based on the actual situation of the game, Nintendo decided on $9.99 “not a high price,” he continued.

“It’s an interesting product,” Trinin began. “We’re actually ready today, we’re going to have some Nintendo Treehouse Live clips and cover a lot of detailed games. That’s one of them. I think people will be able to see Live through Treehouse Live probably more than you can see in the showroom.”
“For some people, I think there are people who are particularly interested in the system and the specifications of the system, and for them, I think it would be a great product. It is really for those who want more information about the system than have to have to quickly introduce everything it does.
“So, just the care and workload that the team puts in, I think it’s the decision, ‘Yes, it doesn’t feel like $9.99, it’s not a high price. It’s a great value for the product you get from it.”
The welcome journey is certainly just part of the controversy that Nintendo’s next generation is involved, and we have Trining's answer to the company's decision to play with $80 Switch 2and $450 for the Switch 2 itself.
