Once 1:30, you're in the room and a cutscene will play. Now, it's time to solve the Blue Prince's actual bell tower puzzle. On the hidden paragraph, look at the notes on the grandfather’s clock. You will see the following:
- Blue (true): “These clocks should all be set to different times.”
- Blue (true): “Five of these clocks should be set to the time at the end of the hour.”
- Red (false): “Set this clock to a time that contains all the different numbers.”
- Blue (true): “The neighbors of this clock should all be set to contain 7 times.”
- Red (false): “This clock should not be set during hours.”
- Blue (true): “None of these clocks should be set to contain the number 1, 2, 3, or 4.”
- Blue (true): “This clock should be set to the time that contains the same three numbers of another clock, but in reverse.”
- Red (false): “Clocks are positioned so that their time rises in order.”
The idea is to see tips that can be widely used. For example, you can't have 1, 2, 3, or 4, so 10:00 to 4:59 is eliminated. It also eliminates the minutes of applicable time (5:00 to 9:00) – i.e., you cannot use 5:12, 6:03, 6:12, etc.
Other clues are helpful too:
- Five clocks ending in hours mean you should have 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00.
- The clock next to one of the neighbors of the clock must be 7:00. There is also an error message (i.e. “Not set within hours”), which means the clock should be 7:00.
- The last red note is thrown away you, because the time should be ascending from left to right (i.e., earlier to later).
notes: You have to solve this puzzle in this hidden interior. If you leave and go to another room, the wall will be closed. You have no choice but to try again on another day/run, you still have to wait 1:30 to open.
