Blog Andrew Joseph 18 Apr , 2025 0

Nintendo shared with us the directness of Mario Kart World, which revealed more about the launch title of the Nintendo Switch, including new details about characters, courses, competitions, secrets and more.
This roundup gathers everything you need to know about the Mario Kart world directly, and we hope it will help wait until this highly anticipated game is launched with the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.
course
The Mario Kart community will have a large number of new new courses on its interconnected maps and will be introduced to some of them today, including Mario Bros. Racing, Crown City, Salty Level Racing, Salty Racing, Starlight Peak, boo Cinema Cinema, Boo Cinema, Toad's Factory, Peach Beach and Wario Shipyard.
The players returning to Mario Kart should be most exciting, the older courses “reimagine in this vast new world, providing new experiences for home feels, and classics.”
Roles and new technologies
Considering that up to 24 racers can compete in one race, the Mario Kart world will need a lot of characters to make sure everyone won’t play the same race. While there are sure to be more added and revealed, this Direct featured such characters as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Baby Rosalina, Rosalina, Koopa, Rocky Wrench, Conkdor, Goomba, Spike, Cow, King Boo, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Waluigi, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Birdo, Bowser Jr., Lakitu, Toad, Wario, Pauline, Toadette, Shy Guy, Nabbit, Piranha Plant, Hammer Bro, Monty Mole, Dry Bones, Wiggler, Cataquack, Pianta, Pianta, Sidestepper and Cheep Cheep and Cheep Cheep.
Driving with these characters will become even more fun this time, as new technologies need to be used. The charge jump gives racers a chance to dodge enemy attacks, reach higher positions and tracks that can be grinded on it, and even jump to the wall for a short time to ride.
One of the most exciting new additions is rewinding, as it will allow players to try again to reach the hidden path, or better turn or anything else! However, it is important to note that if you rewind, your competitors will still move normally, so you will find yourself accidentally and you may have more trouble.
Competitions – Grand Prix and Knockout Tour
There are two main modes in the Mario Kart world – Grand Prix and Knockout Tour. Grand Prix will be a fan of Habit Mode as players need to participate in multiple matches to win Mushroom Cups, Flower Cups, Flower Cups, etc. However, players around will drive from class to course instead of exiting the menu this time, which should make Mario Kart World a more open structure more seamless.
If you happen to conquer all the Grand Prix Cups, there might be some kind of “colorful lesson” that sounds like a rainbow road. This is not easy, though, as there will be new obstacles like shooting bullet bills and Hammer Brothers.
Knockout is a battlefield-style mode where you have to race from one side to the other of the Mario Kart world map. The only benefit is that you have to be somewhere in each checkpoint or you will be eliminated. The winner will be the last driver standing at the Golden Rally, the Ice Rally, and more.
Mario Kart World Free Roam
In Mario Kart World's free roaming mode, players will be able to drive anywhere they want without worrying about being the first. As you explore, you will find things like P-switches (hundreds of them!) that will activate the blue coins you need to collect and start the task. These tasks will be challenges that can improve skills outside of the race.
There will also be hidden coins such as peach medals, hidden panels and more. Oh, there is a free roaming photo mode that can always capture that perfect moment.
Visiting Yoshi's restaurant will also be a joy as you can pick up “Dash Food” which will bring you speed and dining inspired outfits! Some examples shown include cheeseburgers, sushi, skewers, fries, barbecue, pizza, ice cream, etc.
Play Mario Kart World with Friends
Playing Mario Kart with friends will undoubtedly be one of the best ways to play this racing game, and Nintendo offers players a lot of options. Such options include having four players play on one system, playing the game locally with up to eight players (two systems for four), and 24 players from around the world playing online.
Another big feature of the Mario Kart world is that it allows players to roam with friends between matches. Players will be able to see where their friends are on the map and quickly head to their entertainment. You can then use custom rules to fight or play, or explore the map with them. Photo mode will also be suitable for friends!
GameChat will also be an integral part of the Mario Kart world, as players will be able to talk to their friends and even see their reactions in the video for those with Comptabile cameras. If all players are on one system, the camera can even detect up to four faces.
model
In addition to the modes we mentioned above, players will be able to participate in the timing trial, where there is also the option to go online and compete with ghost data from the rest of the world. Next comes VS mode, which will offer a lot of customization, including options to compete with up to four different racers.
Battle mode is back, too, and it includes colleagues like coin runners and balloon battles.
project
While familiar items will be returned to Mario Kart, such as Bullet Bill and Lightning, there will also be some new additions, such as coin shells, that can take competitors off the route and provide players with a range of coins. There will also be an ice flower to freeze the enemy, a hammer to attack the enemy and block their path, a giant mushroom that will allow the player to reach weird heights, feathers, feathers that allow the player to jump to avoid attacks, and will even call on the classic characters to turn the player into a mysterious character.
Support functions
Mario Kart World aims to be a game for players of all skill levels, and to reach the goal Nintendo includes some support features to help with smart steering, tilt control (Joy-Con 2 Wheel compatible!), automatic use of items, automatic acceleration, and the ability to adjust vertical and horizontal cameras.
