Diablo 4 Season 8 will start on April 29, and in addition to overhauling the game's final game boss system, its combat pass will be completely redone to give players more control over the players they are most interested in.
The new Battle Pass system, called “Relics”, breaks down rewards that are usually in combat, and is divided into many different categories. The seasonal complexity at the core will actually be free, at least in Season 8, which will include new Town Portal Cosmetics, Weapon Cosmetics, Mountain Cosmetics, and some of the game's premium currency Platinum. Meanwhile, individual complexes for cosmetic armor, weapons and “aka pets and mounts) can also be unlocked with platinum.

Each reward in each relic can be unlocked in any order using any new currency called “Pampering Tokens” that are obtained by killing monsters and completing quests. Then, ask for all rewards from a specific reset and you will get rewards that do not require your favor to unlock. Players will be able to hold 99 favored tokens at once, while the cost of items is 10 to 10 in two aspects.
Individually, each clutter is cheaper than Diablo 4's previous Battle Pass, and Blizzard will offer a premium Battle Pass bundle that includes all refills for a season, at 1,000 platinum, the same as the previous Battle Pass.
In a panel interview with Gamespot, Diablo 4 Game Design Colin Finer's deputy director shared information about the change in the battle pass.
“When we think about the Battle Pass, we get a lot of feedback, and it's not the spirit of Diablo,” Finer said. “You don't actually care about a bunch of things. You're grinding a bunch of things, you really don't have any agency. It doesn't feel Diablo. Diablo is all about that agency, the way it plays it. That's why we have what makes you target the boss that you have exclusive. We feel like we feel like a Battle Pass.”
“Many changes to the Battle Pass and the introduction of the “complex system” are indeed to get players to sit in the driver's seat to locate the rewards they want. We think it's more for Diablo, which is more control over the player's ending. We think it's a big improvement.”
Players may remember that Diablo 4's previous battle passes actually gave players a release of seasonal powers in the form of smoldering ashes that could be used to improve seasonal blessings, granting more XP or other privileges during the season. While the old Battle Pass system is no longer there, clay and seasonal blessings are now part of the game’s seasonal journey system and work as before.
There will also be a special event major relic, which is shorter than the typical season. The information is Diablo 4 is about to cross the border with Dark Fantasy Comics, Berserker's IPscheduled to begin on May 6, which will undoubtedly take advantage of the new system.
