Square Enix makes fun of NIER related stuff again in secret website update

Even if you like Nier: Automata and its ex Nier: Replicant, you might be forgiven for not knowing that the game actually has a sequel. Unfortunately, after offline in April 2024, the nearly one year-old sequel, Nier: Re (In) Carnation (Re Re (In) Carnation) is not available yet.
But luckily, the Square Enix website is throwing away some very wild cosmic hints, which may change.
As we pointed out on the blues Willa RoweThis is an official NIER website, currently releasing Nier Special Movel to mark the 15th anniversary of the series, is teasing NIER:RE (IN) carnations related to Cryptic In-Text prompts and web page source code. As part of today's update to the novel, Just published Chapter 4 Ending with some weird text like this:
(Warning): Recovery protocol initialization… (Error): Redirect to backup node:
(info): Add analytical comments to the source code.
(Fatal): The process was forcibly stopped.
what does that mean? Who knows? But wait, there are more. If you click “View Source” on that page, there are more weird teasings in the code comments, as mentioned above. They read in order:
Security Notification: Unauthorized Transmission Detected. The recorded signal is interrupted. Countermeasure agreement activities. Redirect to the backup node: https://www.jp.square-enix.com/nierreincarnation/
TODO: Optimize rendering efficiency. Contradictions in “her” emotions may interfere with signal clarity. Make sure the transfer remains unchanged.
FIXME: Enable visibility settings for crashed observer systems. He is watching…adjust access before deployment. His name is……
Hacker: Detected log differences. Records show that previous modification attempts were over-interfered with by the cage. Before proceeding, cross-check with the original transfer.
OK, there are a lot here, some of them are difficult to understand, some make sense. For example, a “cage” is the main location where most NIER:RE(IN) carnations occur. “She” is a key character in the Carnation (In) carnation (yes, that's her name). Between this and the hyperlink, it's obvious that it's all citing something, but it's just anyone's guess.
The two chapters of the novel are scheduled to be published on May 2 (a week from today), which may also withdraw the curtains of everything that happened here. Fans guess it might be NIER resulting in some port or reissue: re(in) carnationIt's totally unplayable since it was offline last year. They also point out that the chapters of this particular novel are currently only available in Japanese (but fans are translating), which has a pretty important pairing with all three other Nier games.
If you are not familiar with Re(In) carnations, I highly recommend you pay attention to this, especially if the end result is another chance to play the game. Re(In) carnation is a great game in itself, and many people will sleep because it is a mobile Gacha game, but Crucially, it is also a direct sequel to NIER: Automatorfor those who have been waiting for it, effectively is the Nier 3. Who knows? Perhaps the new RE(IN) carnation release may include some new content that will finally relate to the continuous flow of Nier-related threads.
