Compared to the $500 base model ROG Ally, the Z1 Extreme has two extra CPU cores and a better GPU, which can have a meaningful impact on newer, more graphically demanding games.

The ROG Ally offers impressive value for money. It won't play graphically demanding games at the highest settings, but you can still play many AAA games at 1080p resolution and at least 30 fps. Even at $650, the ROG Ally performs admirably; at $450, the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme is a steal.
