Here is a slideable, all-in-one carousel of everything discussed in the article, for those who feel confident in their Arkham horror: Know the card game to skip Blurbs. For everyone else, keep reading.
Basic Games
The core set contains everything you need to get started. It contains five pre-built investigator decks that give you insight into the first situation: a night of fanatic sports. This will bring you the excellent, replayable flavor of the Arkham Horror Paper Game World. And, if you like it, you need to consider a lot of extensions.
Arkham Horror Card Game Extension
Arkham Horror's card game extension is somewhat different from the board game version. For board games, the expansion box includes full stories and scenes as well as new investigators joining fun. The way card games work is different. You can purchase extensions for your campaigns to add new stories to your game, and/or you can purchase investigator extensions to add new characters. In other words, new stories and new characters are sold separately. This may not be ideal for everyone, but it allows you to choose an experience that will invest for a certain time, as you can expand the scenario without newer investigators.
Dunwich's legacy
Dunwich's legacy is the first release of the extension. This is a user-friendly solution compared to the basic game. In it, you searched for the missing investigators, which, coincidentally, seemed to be associated with how the entire card game franchise was built up in each extended version.
The road to Kakosa
In this expansion, Arkham performs theatrical work. This rule is quite user-friendly for new players, but the extension isn't enough to disband the veterinarian. If you have an older first edition of this extension, you may still find that the difference in the second edition is enough to guarantee a purchase.
The Forgotten Times
This expansion allows you to explore the ruins of an Aztec city, a mystery that may uncover the structure of time ITESLF. It's a very difficult sport, so it's not recommended until the newcomer first plays some other people. It is now also on its second edition.
Circle undo
This expansion is affectionately called the “witch backpack”. The new investigators presented in this extension have some powerful bonuses that can be used. It's a relief, as the movement is also a harder one of all expansions. If you plan to attend this event, you should definitely consider getting an investigator.
The edge of the earth
Antarctic tundra is a classic place for the terrifying residence of Lovecraftians. So, this is exactly where this extension brings you and your other players: sinking the icy cold. Danger lurks in every corner, so choose your steps wisely with or without coordination investigators.
Scarlet Key
This sport extension takes you through the world as you dig deep into the international plot involving the collection of keys and the match with Red Cottry. With or without investigators, this expansion is less than most other explorations.
The eater who dreams of the
The campaign includes two four-part storylines: Dream Quest and Dreams Story's network. If you are tight on time, you can play these games individually, or combine them together into a longer eight-part story.
Nesmouth Conspiracy
This expansion puts you and your companions in a changing world based on the water level that may flood various locations. This adds a dynamic layer to the strategic decisions you need to adopt when you pass.
The feast of the iron valley
The Hemlock Vale feast is a newer expansion that brings players to Hemlock Vale, where residents are preparing for the festival, while in some way still very happy to be unaware of dangers such as mutated wildlife and sinister ones, while sinister existences lurk around them. You have three days to investigate strange things, depending on day or night.
A drowning city
The latest expansion of Arkham horror is the city of drowning. Among this one, the Big Squid Lord from Lovecraftian Knowledge wakes up, it depends on you and your team to save the day.
Other ways to expand deck building adventure in Arkham
Beginner deck
Interested in adding another character to the roster, but not sure if you're ready to expand in full? You can buy some entry-level investigator decks. These decks are cheaper and will provide you with more investigators to help you complete the game.
That said, these characters may not be as good as the investigators you found in the larger boxes associated with your campaigns (see above). There are five options to choose from: Harvey Waters,,,,, Nathanial Cho,,,,, Jacqueline is very good,,,,, Winnifred Habbamockand Stella Clark. All of this is $16.99, but can be found cheap from time to time and sold from time to time.
Solution package
There are also several separate packages available for purchase. These effects are smaller doses compared to the full extension above. They cost $21.99. Excelsior Hotel Murder People are considered one of their more entry-level scenarios, so if you are looking for something smaller before committing to something bigger, like extensions, you might want to check one.
Other scenario packages include Wealth and stupidity,,,,, Conspiracy over time,,,,, War of the External Gods,,,,, The maze of the mazeand Spots of eating.
Return to the box
Return to the box is a complement to the modification and selection activities. They need basic sports to play the game, and although they are rewards, they are best for people who are Arkham Horror: The Card Game. In essence, they are considered luxury goods. Some of them are not the easiest to master. Actually, when I was going to create this list, I found that some were discontinued or not easily found through sites like Amazon or Asmodee itself.
There are currently five return boxes: Night of the Fanatic (Activity in the original start box), Dunwich Legacy, Carcosa Circle, Circle Undone and Losenting Age. Some enthusiasts say that the Forgotten Times fixes some of the complexities in the original extension. As you can see, when you click on the name of Fanatic Nights, they are out of print, so collectors may find them difficult to obtain.
Parallel researcher package
Parallel researchers is an alternative version of investigators with different capabilities than the original peers, including enhanced capabilities and statistics. Just like returning boxes, these are not easy to find in big retailers. Collectors will have to search for them everywhere.
Bottom line
If you are a fan of Lovecraft Mythos theme games, Arkham Horror is the universe you absolutely want to explore. One great thing about Arkham horror: the card game is where you can play it Solo Gameand friends. The iteration of the universe and the game gives many adventure abilities many abilities, and several of them seem to replay endlessly.
That said, like board games, card games are definitely turning on the more difficult side. They have many opportunities that can greatly improve replayability and frustration. Setting up and learning time may also take several minutes. You will find that even without extensions, card games are easier to set up than board games, which makes the journey less painful.
