Activision has confirmed Call of Duty Season 3 has arrived Black Ops 6 and War Zone In April, it seems like a delay in upcoming content. Furthermore, the publisher vaguely stated that this season was a “significant moment” for Warzone and Black Ops 6.

This could mean season 2 will get an updated combat pass timer and will be extended this season. The delay is unfortunate, but it means that the player wants to get more time than he originally expected to get.
While Activision doesn't provide any details on why Season 3 is described as a big moment for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, guess this will be the OG-style season of the content and the return of Verdansk.
