EA Sports FC 25 received its first paid season pass ever, and EA insists it is “pure additive”

EA added paid season passes to FC 25 in the first game of its long-running football series.

The EA Sports FC 25 Premium Pass is now live in the game and can be obtained through earnable virtual currency (500,000 UT coins) or in real-world virtual currency (1,000 FC points, priced at $9.99).

Paid tracks include exclusive content as well as a crucial, tradable packaging. This means that Ultimate Team players (FC's most popular and controversial model) can sell the rewards earned in Premium Pass to other players' in-game currency, which can then be used to buy the next premium pass (assuming they earn enough coins from these items in the auction house).

Rewards include many powerful cards, such as the immortal icon Franck Ribéry, and powerful evolutionary consumables to improve the cards you already have.

Some players have already encountered a decision in EA, pointing out that this $9.99 premium pass is based on an already quality game and, in terms of the ultimate team, is already a game mode that has been recalculated. Critics also suggest that the Premium Pass provides a way to buy a powerful card directly, which can then be used in competitive multiplayer games.

However, others point out that you still need to upgrade to unlock most of the rewards, and you can pay for the premium tracks individually the coins you earn from the game, so technically everything here can be earned by playing the game.
