“I have a very large creative project that I'm happy to do, and – I don't actually know if I can say what it is – I just want to say what it is and then if I don't allow that, the next part isn't in it.”
“I’m going to do a Soma animation show. Because I love Soma, Soma is the top five, top 10 of my all-time, and it’s a game I absolutely love. It’s one of the best stories ever in video games.
“And I'm so glad to do that. We've been talking to developers for a year and talking about that, and we're ready to make it all over. I'm so excited and I really want to announce it to people and talk about it and really get stuck in and share it and share it.
“Because I wanted to play the game in a video. I was like, OK, I'll stick with it and then until we can announce that we're doing it. So that's why I haven't done it yet.”
Jacksepticeye went on to say that at a party that didn't want to be named, the Soma animation show suddenly collapsed, but he deliberately abandoned the details because he was turned down.
“We made a lot of progress in this and then everything collapsed,” he said.
“I won't talk about too much detail about what happened because I'm very upset about what actually happened. But, it's more, 'We're heading in a different direction,' a little bit of the atmosphere. It really frustrated me.”
Jacksepticeye did not name other parties. IGN requires friction comments.
It's frustrating that Jackseptice's Soma animation show “Flip” YouTuber's “Inverted” plan for 2025.
“I've been planning for a lot of years. I was like, you know what? I'm not going to be able to upload too much because I'm going to focus on it. But at least I'm going to have a really cool creative thing to show off. I'm going to give you something, we can give you something, we can talk about it, share it, and get it into one and one with it. And then it crashed.
“So, all my plans for this year are upside down. Now, what is the point? What am I doing? I don't know. I've had so many calls in the past few weeks. A lot of people. It's been a lot. It's been a tough month. I took the time to take a break.
After Soma's release, two other amnesia were released: Amnesia in 2020: Rebirth and Amnesia in 2023: Buns. July 2023, after amnesia issuance: bunker, Thomas Grip, Friction Creative Director, says the company is seeking to reduce horror games “More focused on other emotional qualities.”
“While all of our games are somehow scary, what we really try to do is to make a playable immersion immersion,” Gripp said.
“We want to give players some immersive fantasy of soldiers trapped in bunkers (World War I) or robots trapped at the bottom of the ocean.
“The horror game is naturally where emotions are front and center. The game is really great. However, we are still exploring topics that make things weird.”
