Minecraft adds live events and movie-related DLCs, and comes with Jack Black

and Minecraft Movies Heading to the theater on April 4, it is no surprise that the game it is based on adds a bunch of content associated with that version. Minecraft is adding downloadable content from the movie, as well as live events, and even free skin packs so you can look like the characters of the movie.

Live events take you to a custom Minecraft realm, home to Midport Village, where you can interact with the characters in the movie, perform tasks and earn exclusive loot for use in the game. The event features a voiceover by Jack Black, who plays Steve in the movie and sees users collaborating with characters played by Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Hansen, through a series of mini-games. The mode also has multiplayer action so you don't have to just face the danger of waiting. If you manage to complete all five games in mode, you get the exclusive merchandise, the Cape of Desire.

The event was announced during Minecraft Live, held on March 25 at 3pm/6pm EST and launched on April 7.

In addition to live events, there are many free download items waiting for you in the March 25 game. First, you can download a movie hero-based skin that allows you to dress up your characters as Steve version of Jack Black or characters from Momoa, Myers, Myers, Brooks and Hansen. Yes, that means you can wear a sweet pink jacket – complete with the edges – Jason Momoa exercises in the trailer for the movie. Of course, this is a more pixelated version. After all, this is Minecraft.

Finally, there is a DLC world for those who want to dig into the action of the movie. It is free on the market, like skins, including things like Elysium, surviving in the challenges of the night, and even being given the mission of infiltrating the woodland building. DLC can be played alone or with friends.

The live action of the Minecraft movie will be released on April 4. Netflix announced last year. The show has no release date so far.
