Minecraft Live 2025: Vibrant visuals, happy flying Ghast and everything announced

Minecraft Live 2025 has been completed and dusted, and developer Mojang announced a series of new upgrades and content that will be the best-selling video game of all time.

Mojang revealed Minecraft's first match of the year, called Spring to Life. This will introduce various updates to Overworld, which will make the biome “feel more immersive and vibrant”, such as new variants of cattle, pigs and chickens, as well as new environmental features and sounds (glittering firefly bushes, falling leaves, fallen leaves and beaches). Spring to Life will be launched on March 25.

The second game of the year has not yet been famous, but we do know what it will include. There is a new block called Dried Ghast that replenishes hydration to form a new mob variant called Ghastling (baby Ghast) and, in turn, become the new Happy Ghast Mob variant. Ghast harness is used to drive a happy Ghast and can carry up to four players.

Today’s major update is Minecraft’s main visual upgrade, called “Violent Visual Effects”, “The first step in expressing developers’ vision for visual upgrades will change the way our players experience Minecraft,” Mojang said. Vibrant visuals won't affect Minecraft's gameplay in any way.

Meanwhile, Mojang shared a new clip for the upcoming Minecraft movie and announced a live game event with a movie-themed game that will begin on March 25.

Minecraft Live 2025-Everything Announced:

• Mojang Studios announced the title of the first match of the year, release date and features, and the ability to drop the second match of the year.
• The first game of the year dropped called “Spring” and introduced various updates to Overworld, which will make the biome feel more immersive and energetic.
• The Spring of Life adds warm and cold variations of some of Minecraft’s classic mobs, such as the new environmental features of sparkling firefly bushes, fallen leaves and beaches, and more reasons to explore
• The second game drop of the year includes the new Dried Ghast block, the new Ghastling and Happy Ghast Mob variants, and the Ghast Harness.
• The fucked ghast is a little smaller than the regular block, with cute little tentacles and a grumpy face.
• If you pick up the dry ghast from the depths and put it in the water, it will eventually become happier.
• The clumsy person floats across the world like a small balloon. Feed the snowball and eventually it will grow into a happy ghast.
• If you make a seat belt for a happy ghast, lure it closer to the seat belt itself and jump on it. From there, you and up to three players can fly around on a happy ghast.
• The new locator bar feature is located at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to see your friends' orientation. This is useful for finding friends while driving a happy ghast.
• Happy Ghast will be useful for survival mode builders because “it’s a bit like being in creative mode, but in survival”, Mojang said. The platform allows you to get off the horse anywhere in the sky.
• Mojang Studios announced a visual upgrade to Minecraft, titled “Visual Effects with Vibrantness.”
• Mojang revealed an exclusive Minecraft movie clip and announced the in-game movie-themed live event.
• Live streaming takes place in Zhongmatt Village, seeing players join Steve and his companions in an evolving multiplayer experience, in which you can defend the village in three mini games.
• Live events will be held from March 25 to April 7 if you complete all the challenges you desire.
