Minecraft It celebrated its 15th anniversary last year, but despite growing up to those troublesome teenagers, developer Mojang doesn't seem to have plans to replace it with a sequel.
On a recent trip to the Stockholm studio, IGN asked about the possibility of the best-selling game of all time. Ingela Garneij, executive producer of Minecraft Vanilla, has an interesting, undesired answer to us: “Do you think we will have an Earth 2? No, no, there is no Minecraft 2.
Although Minecraft 2.0 is obviously not on the horizon, this does not mean that the phenomenon of surviving works will not continue to develop. In fact, the plan extends into the future, with its goal at least doubles its current lifespan.
“We've been around for 15 years,” Garneij said. “We want to survive for at least 15 years, so we're actually Agnes (Larsson, Minecraft Vanilla's game director), and I'm a team. We set the vision and strategy for the game to enable what we can do.”
This is Mojang's ambition to innovate and continue the mining and craftsmanship, so to speak, their new idea for the foundation of rock fixation. Garneij admits that these foundations are beginning to show age, and although there is no plan to do an engine overhaul, it does mean new content, e.g. Newly revealed vibrant visual graphics updatesit really takes time to put it into practice.
“I think the age of the game is a challenge,” Garneh said. “It's a 15-year-old platform, 15-year-old technology, in a sense. So other new games also have new engines and they can be very fast. So, I'm going to say about technology and our time (which is our biggest challenge).”
Still, Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world, and to the best of our knowledge, there are no signs of slowing down. besides I don't plan to play free games or Utilize generated AI technology. Just don't expect to play Minecraft 2 in the near future. No matter what, not on the earth.
