Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord With the game's first expansion, the war sail will sail into the ocean at sea, bringing naval war into the unique medieval Action-RPG sandbox in naval warfare on June 17.
War Sails will expand the world map of Mount & Blade 2 and introduce a whole new region to the Calradia world: the Northern Kingdom and its surrounding sea. It's there Viking-themed Nordics call home, just like the other factions of Mount and Blade 2, they can trade, recruit or fight with them.
But the real star of expansion is the introduction of naval warfare, where players can master the wind, upgrade and customize ships, and defeat enemies at high seas. Rivers also work, and players can sail to crash into enemy territory, cut off supply lines and block enemy towns.
War Sails will be selected with 18 ships, which can be upgraded with a variety of siege engines, impact rams and sails. Battles on the high seas will not only be won by raw firepower, but also master the game's wind and water physics and strategically take enemy ships or paddles to disable them.
It was a big moment for developer Taleworlds Entertainment, who also announced Mount & Blade 2 with the announcement of War Sail Swier: Bannerlord has released more than 5 million copies in October 2022 in the 1.0 update, when it also released the Xbox Series X&PlayStation 5 on Xbox Seriper.
Taleworlds confirmed that the launch of War Sail will match the game's free patch v1.3 updates, and plans to offer more free updates that will add features such as stealth and camouflage systems, Parley's abilities, combat improvements and new weapon types. Taleworlds said more details about these systems will be shared “when appropriate.”
