Ninja Gaiden 2 Black adds two very modern features to the latest update

The Ninja and Koei Tecmo team released the biggest update to Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. Specifically, the update adds modern features such as the new game+ and photo mode, which weren't as common when Ninja Gaiden 2 was initially released.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Launched for the Xbox 360 in 2008. In January, during the showcase of Xbox’s developer Direct, an Unreal Engine 5 remake called Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Shadow Drops Ninja Gaiden 4. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is faithful to the remake of the game, but does add some more modern features like the easier difficulty mode. Now, developers are expanding new features in the latest patches.

This update is VER 1.003.000 on PS5, VER 1.0.7.0 on PC and Xbox Series X | VER 1.0.7.0 on S: New Game+, Photo Mode, and the ability to hide Ryu's projectile weapon. New Game+ allows people to replay Ninja Gaiden 2 Black with all the weapons they get in adventures and Ninja replays Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. However, they will all be restored to level 1, so players will not be fully entering the new game+ more.

The other two features can be found in the Options menu. Photo mode provides players with an easier way to film what they are playing, while the “Performance Projectile Weapon” option in the game settings submenu allows players to switch whether they want their weapons to be in gameplay. This should be useful if they use one of the larger projectile weapons, but hope for better visibility in combat.

• New game+
  Added the ability to start a new game on the difficult level of previously unlocked weapons and ninjas. When starting a new game this way, your weapons and ninja will be restored to level 1.
• Photo mode
  Photo mode was added to the in-game options menu. You can move the camera within the set limits to take screenshots.
• Ability to hide projectile weapons
  Added the “Show Projectile Weapons” option under “Game Settings” to the options menu, which allows you to hide projectile weapons while carrying them on your back.

• Increased the number of enemies in ch. 13, “Sacrificial Temple”
• Increased the number of enemies in ch. 14, “A grumpstone with a grumpy temper”
• Increased damage caused by some of Ayane's attacks.

Bug fix:

• Fixed control issues occur at over 120 fps or under high compute loads.
• Fixed an issue where the controller did not set vibration based on the calculation load or FPS.
• Fixed a bug that caused players to get out of boundaries in certain chapters.
• Fixed an error that made it impossible in certain chapters.
• Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash during long playback.

Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Now available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, it is part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Game directory.
