Inzoi Developer and publisher Krafton announced that one million copies were sold in a week. This is the fastest sales milestone ever released by Megacorp in South Korea.
Crafton's The Sims' Competitor was launched on PC via Steam on March 28 and quickly made headlines Players find that they can run over and kill the child. Caffton replied that it had patched what was called “unexpected mistakes.”
Despite the ic, Inzoi's users on Steam were rated as “very positive” and saw a peak of 175,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, ranking third in the gaming category. Just 40 minutes after its release, it rose to No. 1 on Steam's list of best-selling products worldwide (by sales revenue).
Meanwhile, the Canvas, Inzoi’s user-generated content (UGC) sharing platform saw more than 1.2 million “participants” on the launch date and has uploaded more than 470,000 content.
IGN's Inzoi Early Visit Reviews Returned 6/10. We said: “Inzoi is an ambitious visually distinctive life simulator, but is not enough from early access launches.”
Apparently, Inzoi is running a business for Krafton, which highlights its work that facilitates the game and its communication with the community before launching to help build trust and unlock momentum. Krafton added that Inzoi global display cabinets and demonstration construction “has particularly interest”.
CEO Ch Kim commented: “We are grateful and excited to show Inzoi to players around the world through early entry. We will continue to actively communicate with players and promote Inzoi as a long-term franchise IP for Krafton.”
As for what’s coming, Caffton said that future updates will introduce new content, including mod support and new cities, all updates and DLCs are available for free until full release.
In a recent note to players, Crafton said it will “quickly” report the fixes via Hotfixes in April and amid complaints from some players about the game's status. Caffton said the size of Inzoi’s global community is “for our next experience” and then admitted “having experienced some trial and error in finding the best means of communication.”
