Star Wars: Zero Company was officially revealed on Saturday at the Japan Star Wars celebration after being teased earlier this week. The game's movie trailer introduces the main cast of Zero Company: a group of secret experts who players will control in this turn tactical game. Developed by BIT Reactor in partnership with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars: Zero will launch PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2026.
During the twilight of the Clone Wars, players will enter the shoes of former Republican official Hawks, who leads an expert crew behind the enemy. Some of the characters here include a cloned Knight, a Jedi Knight, and a Mandalorian, all of which are original characters created for the game. BIT reactors say players will start tactical operations and investigation campaigns at Zero Company, between missions, where they can develop and operate the foundation and gather intelligence through their informant network.
Customization seems to be an important part of the game, as not only can the appearance and combat categories of the protagonist Hawk, but also the agents that can be recruited individually from a wide range of Star Wars character categories and species. For the company commanded by Hawks, the BIT reactor calls these allies “creative characters” that players can interact with and build strong connections with. Doing so in turn will unlock combat synergy, which may turn the tide of combat.
“Our vision for Star Wars Zero is based on game design pillars that are weaved in the immersive Star Wars galaxy with turn-based tactical gameplay,” Greg Foertsch, creative director of Bit Reactors, said in a news report. “This is our goal to deliver a game through the original Star Wars story of the Clone Wars era that has meaningful results from player selection and brings deep tactical combat based on approachable and film talks.”
