Suikoden fans are happy about the Suikoden 2 anime and brand new Mobile Gacha game

Earlier this week, Konami introduced some special stuff to the classic RPG fans: a live stream that is entirely dedicated to Suikoden. The franchise lacks brand new work since the Japanese and PSP-only story a decade ago, so the expectation that this will bring. So, fans met the announcement of Suikoden anime (Yay!) and finally… Mobile (Okay, of course!), fans met the announcement of fans (yes!). Use Gacha Mechanics (oh, no!).
Let's start with the anime, which is simply called Suikoden: anime. It is based on the events of Suikoden 2, which will be the first productions of Konami animation. us Haven't really understood what it looks like yetwe also learned no details about whether it is easy to access outside of Japan. All we get is a short landscape clip:

Still, it's exciting news for Suikoden stubborns, and if anime is widely used, it's a cool entry point for Suikoden Newcomers.
The second major announcement made fans feel even more conflicted. Announced a brand new game called Suikoden Star Leap that looks very beautiful, with octopus traveler-style 2D Sprites in 3D background. Apparently it happened a few years before Suikoden 1 and Suikoden 5, which included traditional 108 characters, just like other Suikodens.
However, it has been released on mobile devices. As of now, nothing seems to be the other. This alone may not stop the stubborn Suikoden fans, but we also learn that Star Leap will have Gacha mechanics and some kind of ongoing monetization. It's a pretty disappointing inclusion for a game series that only exists in premium games released on consoles and PCs, but we have to wait and see if monetization decisions ultimately prevent players from enjoying the game or collecting all 108 characters.
Meanwhile, Suikoden fans can re-release Suikoden 1 and 2 through Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. A new trailer for the series was also shown during the live event, Go out on March 6 tomorrow.
