director Wizard 4 Clarification says that a new video has the same CIRI game model as some people think her face looks different.
Yesterday, CD Projekt released a trailer for Cinematic Reles that introduced Witcher 4 behind the scenes, and fans noticed two short clips showing the new look of Ciri Close.
These clips are marked at 2:11 and 5:47, enlarging Ciri's face as the camera rotates around the character model. The comments are full of fans, highlighting the slightly different look on Ciri's face in these moments she did in the trailer she revealed in the movie. A commenter called CIRI at 5:47, marking the perfect expression of “(SIC) slightly larger CIRI. I'm glad! She looks great!”

The initial speculation was from responses from some corners of the internet, based on her appearance in the reveal trailer, which looked “ugly” in the Witcher 4. The reviewers’ reaction to the two new clips was absolutely positive, with some reports suggesting that CD Projekt may have changed Ciri’s face after this supposed “bounce”.
This is not the case according to CD Projekt. go Social MediaWitcher 4 Game Director Sebastian Kalemba said the developers did not modify the game model of CIRI and clarified that these new looks were “snapshots” taken before the developers applied the style of the movie we saw in the Repart video.
“The behind-the-scenes video has the same CIRI in-game model as the original trailer,” Kalemba said.
“We haven't modified it yet. What you're seeing is the original lens – no facial animation, lighting or virtual camera lens. While it's still on the engine, it represents an ongoing snapshot taken before we applied the movie touch to achieve the purpose of that video.
“This change is a natural part of the game development process. At this point, the appearance of any character may depend on the medium, whether it's in a trailer, 3D model or in a game.”
or, As commentator Fehndrix said: “Redditor discovered the impact of lighting on in-game facial models, which is confusing.”

“The Witcher 4” is the first in the new trilogy of the Wizard Game after “The Witcher 3”.
Specifically stated that IGN was revealed beforeExecutive producer Małgorzata Mitręga said CIRI is “a very organic, logical choice”.
“It's always about her, and you read it in the book from the beginning of the legend. She's an amazing layered character. Of course, as the protagonist, we used to say goodbye to Geralt. So it's a continuation. I think for all of us, like she should be. That's always her.”
Kalemba added that since Ciri is younger than Geralt, players will have more freedom to define their roles to be with Geralt, so they can’t be with Geralt. This also provides developers with more space to explore her character.

Although both Mitręga and Kalemba acknowledge a potential rebound in Ciri's role as the protagonist in The Witcher 4, they insist that Ciri will always be the main character in the game.
“There is an intention behind this choice,” Kalemba said. “It's far from roulette. It's not random. I remember we had a discussion nine years ago and we were talking about who the next one is? The very, very instant answer is Ciri. There are a lot of reasons behind it. We've mentioned a few. But she really should have a stage where we want players to really experience her story because she has a lot to say to prove. The challenges she faces bring us so much amazing energy and fuel to create an epic legend that we have no choice but to get along with. We all think that's the way. I believe it's the super right choice.”
Talk to IGN in January is part of a wider interview with Netflix’s upcoming animated film, The Wizard: The Sirens in the Deep,,,,, Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle supports CD Projekt's decisioneven if it sees Geralt retreating into his seat.
“I'm really excited,” he said. “I think it's a good move. I mean, I always think that going on with legend, but for various reasons, it's going to be a very, very interesting move, but mainly because of what's going on in the book, I don't want to give it because people go to read it. Yes, I think it's really exciting. I can't wait. I can't wait to see what they did.”
